Single Tooth Replacement
Dental Implants
A dental implant is a titanium post inserted into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. A porcelain restoration is attached to the post with a connector called an abutment.
Dr. Goch is a fan of implants for missing tooth replacement, where possible. They look, feel and function like your natural teeth. Unlike with a dental bridge, you do not need to alter the teeth on either side of the missing tooth, which is a definite plus.

Dental Bridges
The past standard for replacing one or two missing teeth was the use of a dental bridge. Dr. Goch takes into account various factors and sometimes a dental bridge is a better option for the patient. During the exam he will take a good look at your particular situation to determine the best solution for replacing your missing tooth.
Replacing multiple missing teeth
There are several ways that multiple missing teeth are handled. Dr. Goch recommends dental implants for a few individual missing teeth. In the case of several adjacent missing teeth, an implant-supported bridge is a very good solution, or a standard dental bridge can be used.
Depending on the number of teeth missing, a partial denture could also be used.
Solutions for all teeth missing
Traditional Dentures
Dr. Goch is very experienced in making full dentures. He feels that for many patients they can be a good solution. Together with his lab technician, he creates high-quality dentures that fit well and look natural.
If you are happy with an existing denture but it is starting to get loose, Dr. Goch can do a reline or repair of the denture.
Implant-Supported Dentures
An implant-supported denture provides security for your denture so that it won’t slip. It eliminates the need for adhesives and your chewing ability is increased. It is the most economical implant-supported teeth replacement option.
A person missing all their teeth would need to have a minimum of two dental implants per arch to provide stability. Dr. Goch will discuss your needs and wants and make a recommendation on the number of implants that may be best for you.
Implanted-Supported Bridge
This option is the top-of-the-line solution when all the teeth in an arch are missing. This is the next best thing to real teeth. A full bridge is supported with implants, but the bridge is permanent and not removable except by Dr. Goch. This provides full chewing power and great aesthetics.
Denture stabilization
Stabilize your existing dentures
If you already wear dentures, it is possible to retro-fit them so that they can snap onto implants. This stabilizes your dentures so they don’t slip, increases chewing ability and comfort.
